False accusations vs. the real deal

There seems to be so much mass hysteria lately about women and girls making false rape allegations.  Yet when one actually takes time out to look at the stats one is quite surprised to find that the number of false allegations is so minute that you almost need a magnifying glass to see them correctly.

So why are we hearing so much about these false accusations?  Well let’s first ask who is spreading these lies.

One of the biggest instigators is the MRAs who seem to have a field day of slamming women and feminists in particular.

These assholes have now created a perception that rape very rarely happens, as most of these claims are false.  Women and girls are clearly the perpetrator of this evil crime while men are the innocent victims.

This perception has lead to many women not making a report when they are actually raped or sexually abused and one can certainly not blame them.  If you have gone through hell of been raped and then find yourself in the situation of having to deal with people, be they the police, magistrate, general public or even your own family who do not believe you, look at you as if you are lying in order to get an innocent man into trouble and that you are the actual criminal.  Would you want to report the incident?  Obviously not. 

Men on the other hand lie about rape all the time.  They will tell you that they never did it and then place a huge burden on the woman to prove her innocence.

In a male dominated society men are allowed to lie, but when women lie then it is a huge offence.

MRAs and their ilk should be very proud of themselves as they have succeeded in truly terrifying women and girls from opening their mouths when they are raped and sexually abused.

And let’s not forget that the same rings true for sexual harassment in the work environment. 

But why would MRAs do such a horrid thing?  Well ask yourself who are these MRAs?  Most of them are strait white males who are angry that women have made progress and do not want to be regarded as sex objects but rather as human beings and are daring to challenge white male supremacy.

These males firmly believe it is their right to treat women however they please.  To them women are there solely to serve men and provide pleasure for their male perversions.

If women are not prepared to report rapes, if people are going to view every woman who makes a claim as a criminal.  Then these males have succeeded in creating an environment where they can treat a women in anyway they like and she wouldn’t dare try and file a complaint.

This been said, I now wonder if so FEW women do actually make false claims, should we not investigate this further.  Could it be that if we actually looked properly at these women we may find a reason that needs to be dealt with?  Could it be a cry for help?

When dealing with the odd false accusations we must deal with them individually for what they are and not be guided by the white male supremacists.

Calls for help, not charges

Women who make false rape allegations need help not prosecution, says a rape victim counsellor.

Doctor Kim McGregor, director of New Zealand's Rape Prevention Education, said international research showed 2-3 per cent of all sexual abuse allegations made were false.

Of more concern was the number of sexual abuse assaults not reported to police, with only 9 per cent of sexual assault cases reported.

Dr McGregor's comments come as a 17-year-old Rotorua is to appear in the Rotorua District Court today charged with making a false rape complaint.

She was arrested this week after claiming she was dragged off by three youths and sexually assaulted at knifepoint in a Mangakakahi reserve on Sunday December 28.

It is the second alleged false sexual assault claim Rotorua police have dealt with since November.

Another Rotorua woman has been accused of wasting police time by falsely telling detectives she was sexually assaulted at Kuirau Park after being dragged off by a group of five or six youths.

Speaking generally, Dr McGregor said while she understood that a false complaint took police time to investigate, most often police could determine it was false within two or three days.

Police should be finding help for these women, she said.

"I would recommend some form of therapeutic intervention rather than charging them."

She said someone needed to be "pretty distressed" to make a false allegation of sexual assault but there were several reasons someone would.

A young woman may have had sex against her parent's wishes and told her parents she has been raped. Dr McGregor said the parents complain to police but when the woman was interviewed she would then say she had lied.

The doctor said very few women made false complaints as a form of revenge.

Louise Nicholas, a Rotorua sexual abuse educator and former rape complainant, said she was disappointed to hear about the false complaints.

It didn't help sexual abuse victims making legitimate complaints, particularly those who feared not being believed, she said.

However, there could be underlying issues surrounding the false complaints which needed to be resolved, Mrs Nicholas said.

"What has happened in [a person who has made a false complaint's] life for her to do this?"

She said there needed to be more services available to help women who had been sexually assaulted as the current services were stretched.

Some who made false allegations might have been sexually abused by a family member and didn't want that person to get into trouble but wanted the abuse to stop, Mrs Nicholas said.

Anne Ward, a counsellor at Sexual Abuse Centre Rotorua, said there were a myriad of reasons for someone to make a false allegation. One could be they were having sex with someone other than their partner, she said.

Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Loper said Rotorua police dealt with two false sexual abuse complaints in 2008.

The Rotorua public could be assured all sexual offences were treated with urgency and were thoroughly investigated, he said.

Mr Loper did not wish to comment further.

I have heard many women call men pigs, but as far as I am concerned, calling a man a pig is a huge insult to pigs.  Maybe I am saying this because as I am typing I am in an extremely anti-male mood.

So how did I become even more anti-male then what I am often accused of being by MRAs and their ilk?

Well, my job requires me to travel allot and just recently I was at one of our regional offices.  I was interacting with area heads and salesMEN.  Everyone of them being obnoxious white males.  And that did not include the clients who were mostly white men as well.

What really irritated me that day was just how obnoxious and arrogant they all where, not to mention downright patronising.  It was a proper boys club and this girl was clearly not part of it.  Cleary only the boys could talk about and understand the importance of the business transactions.  How could an out of town inferior girl know anything about how they conduct business in this part of the world.

The way they spoke down to me I couldn’t help but feel like a six year old child. 

Despite having more than enough knowledge, skills and experience on the various topics, the male clients kept deferring to the male heads and salesmen.  Clearly only if they agreed to what I said would these men take me remotely seriously.

I managed to get through the day by fantasising about kicking each of those fucking men viciously between the legs and then imagining how they would respond.

Of course in reality I did the typical female thing by just politely smiling and being all sweat and nice.  After all, isn’t that what we girls are supposed to do according to the sickening male rules for females?

Late that afternoon I was finally able to leave those fucking sexist ass holes and head for the airport to catch my flight home.

I was quite early for my flight so after I had checked in I decided to go to one of the lounges that I have access to and have a cup of strong coffee in order to try and recover.  Hoping that all this sexism was now behind me I headed for the lounge.

When I walked in I wanted to scream.  The lounge was one big cesspool of masculinity.   Very few women in sight.  Seeing an empty spot in the distance I made my way through a sea of males, amazed by the way men take up so much space.

I was just settling down with my coffee and a magazine when a group of five white business men came in and planted themselves virtually around me.  Unfortunately because the lounge was so busy these fucking ass holes where right on top of me.

If that was not bad enough they immediately started with their irritating male conversions.  Whether I liked it or not I had to hear every word of their conversation.  They to were salesmen and they were just as arrogant, obnoxious and loud as the males I had just come from.

And what was so disgusting was that they even spoke about women in an extremely demeaning way i.e. turning them into sex objects.  The fact that I was right next to them and that they would have known that I could hear every word of what they were saying made it even worse.  This is so typical of male entitlement.  Men believe that they can say anything they like about women and not care if one is close enough to hear.

They even made some derogatory racial remarks about a black guy who worked with them.  Going by what these arse wipes were saying, they believed that he as only appointed because of affirmative action and was totally useless.
Whether he was really useless   or not is not what concerned me, but rather the rotten racist remakes these white male racist jackasses were making.

(Sexism and racism go hand in hand.  We cannot destroy one without destroying the other and we can only achieve this by destroying white male supremacy.)

While trying to read my magazine I came across an article about transporting your pet on an aeroplane.  It explained about the cage that the pet is put inside of and how the cage is put in the cargo hold.

I immediately thought if they can put animals in the cargo hold why can’t they put the men in there as well.

So here’s an idea ladies.  Next time we are flying in a plane full of racist, sexist, obnoxious men, let’s get together and hijack the plane.  Once we are in control of the plane we can lock all the men in the cargo hold, while we ladies sit back and truly enjoy the flight.

Maybe the experience will even give the men an opportunity to think about how they treat women. 

Is a culture of racism and sexism destroying us?

Today it’s all about going green.  We are told how important it is to protect our planet’s resources and if we don’t then we soon  won’t have any left.  We are told to reduce our carbon footprint, to use energy saving globes in our lights.

We are often hearing from certain quarters about the dangers of global warming which are being caused by harmful emissions.   

When watching the news we see how weather patterns have drastically changed throughout our planet and how destructive they are.

We see famine and flooding causing great suffering.  And it always seems to be those who can least afford it who are hit the hardest and lose the most.

If we have so much to lose and if we are aleady in the process of feeling Mother Nature’s wrath.  Then why are we doing so little, why are there not more of us out there trying to save our planet from self made annihilation?

We often say that the biggest polluters are large corporations.  So lets focus on these corporations.  Many of them are American, British and European.  And what will come as no surprise is that they are run and dominated by white males. 

To understand white male corporations we need to understand white male culture.  White male culture is based on hierarchy, domination, everyone for themselves, elitism,  sexism, racism, selfishness etc.

All of these come together to form white male supremacy and privilege.  If you  believe you are part of a master race you will then believe that your ways and choices are the correct ones, you are immune to making wrong destions and other people’s views are wrong and inferior.

White male corporations are about white male power and privilege.  White men believe they are entitled to this power and privilege and should someone try and let them see just how harmful their ways are they will flatly reject it.  As a superior race and gender they believe that is their right to make such choices.  And reject everything else.

Without a doubt white male culture is extremely harmful to the entire planet and if we do nothing about it we will be destroyed.  Mother Nature is certainly making us aware of this.

White male culture should not be allowed to exist on this planet as it is too dangerous.  It needs to be totally destroyed and laws need to come into existence to ensure that it is never able to resurface.

To destroy white male culture we need to destroy white male power.  White men are not only the most privileged group of people on the planet but also the most powerful.  Their corporations are one of the bastions of their power.

Through much hard work and sacrifice feminists have managed to implement  affirmative action or positive discrimination with  the intention of ensuring that everyone in the corporate world would be  given the same opportunities.

It can be extremely daunting  if you are an African woman at the bottom of the corporate ladder in a company completely controlled and run by white men who see you as something totally inferior to them and probably consider you nothing short of a sex object.  Something that they can  use for their enjoyment. 

Positive discrimination was to ensure that if you had what it takes, you could work your way up the corporate ladder without sexism, racism and perhaps even homophobia holding you down.

The question we need to ask is how effective has positive discrimination been in a white male dominated environment.

Let’s just briefly have a look at Australia.

Back in 2008 columnist  Susie O'Brien in today's Herald Sun  said

Businesses and individuals would be required to change their ways even if a complaint had not been received.

Action could be taken where an unlawful act was "likely to occur", not just in cases where discrimination has taken place.

Today Australia is no diffent from the UK, US and Europe.  It is still totally white male dominated.  Sexism and racism are still very much alive and kicking down under.

Seems like the whole thing came off the rails.  This does not really surprise me considering what and who they were trying to take on.

And let’s not forget Britain’s own Harriet Harman who tried to enforce positive desrcimation in the UK.  During her tenor she came under immense attach from the MRAs and their supporters.  Today she is part of the opposition.

So has positive descrimation actually worked?

 White Male Corporate Boards Getting More White, More Male

In 2004, white men held seven out of ten board seats at Fortune 100 companies. One boom-and-bust cycle later, those boards are even whiter and include even more men, according to a new report issued by the Alliance for Board Diversity.

The Huffington Post makes the fine point that corporate boards are whitening while the general population isn't:

[Between 2004 and 2010], the share of Fortune 100 board seats held by black men dropped from 7.8 percent to 4.2 percent. White men gained 32 board seats, while black men lost 42. And, the total number of Fortune 100 board seats held by all women, Latinos and Asian Pacific Islanders grew by just 45 seats.

When the alliance broadened its research from the Fortune 100 to include Fortune 500 companies, it found that there was not a single Latino female board chair of a Fortune 500 company in 2010.

In the last decade, 98 percent nation's population growth was due to increases in the black, Latino and Asian populations. Together, women, racial and ethnic minority men already comprise 66 percent of the nation's population.

The story gets even starker when you look at board directors only:

This tells me that white males are still very much in control of the corporates.

We now need to ask ourselves, do we want to continue living with sexism and racism.  Do we want to continue living in a world dominated by white males who only care about themselves even if it means destroying the planet.

Or do we want to destroy white male privilege, supremacy and culture before it destroys us.

As positive action has failed we are either going to have to drastically up the antics or find a new effective approach.
